Mason followed an initial interest in the production of high fantasy films and majored in Animation in Boston. Their narratives are surreal and involve magical realism, usually intertwined with the environments and liminal spaces they are set in. Their visual focus centers around background and color design, as well as character animation and intense 2D camera moves. This combination of surreality and focus on environments creates an evocative sense of space in their work.
They enjoy people watching, robot dudes, abandoned places, sleeping, swords, loud music and quiet people.
Currently they are working on their thesis film.
